Record Open Farm Sunday for Packington

More than 4,000 visitors flocked to Packington Fields Farm on Sunday 11th June, to show support for LEAF’s Open Farm Sunday. Visitor records show the #OFS2017 event, now in its fourth year at Packington, delivered our biggest ever turn out.

As in previous years, visitors showed their generosity, with charitable donations totalling a fantastic £5207.29. That total includes money raised by St Giles and Rainbows, who collected for their own charities. Everything made by Packington Free Range on the day has been donated to County Air Ambulance.

Here at Packington Free Range, we’d like to offer our thanks to everyone who came and supported our event. We’d also like to thank those who helped the day run smoothly, including neighbouring farmers and staff.

According to nationwide organisers LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) more than a quarter of a million people spent the day at one of the 358 farms taking part across the country.

We’ll be joining in next year’s event on Sunday 10th June and hope to see you there. Stay up to date with our plans by following us on social media. Find us on Facebook, Twitter and on Instagram
