Welcoming Andrew Wardle to the Packington Free Range Team
05-01-2012

In September 2011, Andrew Wardle joined us as the latest addition to the expanding team at Packington Free Range.

Andrew has extensive experience in both marketing and food and drink, including some more unusual experience as a crofter in the Scottish Highlands!

Andrew shares our enthusiasm for traceable and high welfare food, which means that he has fitted right into the team. Andrew explains, “Our product has traceability which in this day and age is essential to help consumers see the person they are buying from is the same person who has reared the animals providing the meat,”

“We are proud of our welfare standards at Packington and actively encourage people to visit the farm, to see for themselves,” he adds.

Another exciting part of Andrew’s role will be investigating ways of launching a shop-cut range, producing pre-packaged family sized joints of meat, for the consumer; “At the moment we only provide whole pigs and primal cuts.”

Despite only having been with us for a few months, Andrew has already made a real impact in his role, helping us make 2011 a really successful year for Packington Free Range. With Andrew’s passion and expertise on board, we’re all very excited to see what 2012 brings.
