Packington Free Range recognised in the 2012 Pig & Poultry Marketing Awards

We’re very pleased to announce that we have won yet another award to add to our rapidly growing collection. Earlier in the month we were invited to The 2012 Pig & Poultry Marketing Awards where we won a Commendation for the Brand Identity of Packington Poultry.

Our Business Development Manager Andrew Wardle collected the award at London’s Haymarket Hotel and enjoyed a sit-down lunch with an asparagus, egg and streaky bacon starter, a chicken main course and a chocolate and almond tart for dessert.

The Awards were presented by Andy Black, Managing Director of Springetts Brand Design Consultants, and the event was also attended by The Minister of State for Agriculture and Food, James Paice MP who gave a really interesting and informative talk about establishing brands.

It was a fantastic afternoon and a good chance to meet other like-minded producers. All of the awards were certainly well deserved and Gressingham Foods did especially well, winning the brand identity award and Processor of the Year thanks to their control from ‘egg to fork’ ethic which we couldn’t agree with more.

The organisers Grove Publishing said “Packington is a strong and growing brand and is supported by a distinctive, classy brand identity. Packington’s principal core values are clear and concise and it is this care for the environment and future generations that provides a key message and point of difference”. Winning this award, as well as the increase we’ve seen in people asking for out meat by name, lets us know that we’re getting the right messages out about our values, which is incredibly important to us.
