Packington Free Range wins big at the Great Taste Awards 2019
We’re delighted to have received seven 2019 Great Taste Awards, including an unprecedented two, YES TWO, three star awards for our Whole Pork Loin and Pork Shoulder!
We’ve been recognised across our Pork and Poultry products, with recognition spanning from 1 stars to 3 stars and some fantastic feedback from the judging panel. It’s the first time we’ve won two three stars, so we really are chuffed.
The Great Taste logo is gaining credibility amongst customers in an increasingly competitive food market. The awards are a real recognition of the hard work, research and dedication that goes in to rearing our Free Range Pork and Poultry, and we’re thrilled to have been recognised for our products consistently since 2007.
We’ve shared some of our favourite judges comments below… 3 Star Packington Free Range Pork Shoulder – “A tender looking cut with a fabulous distribution of fat. the crackling melts in the mouth – addictively indulgent; an award-winner in itself. The meat is also meltingly good and non-chewy. Blissfully so, in fact. We could find no fault with this product. As one judge admiringly put it, ‘This pig did not die in vain’.”
3 Star Packington Free Range Whole Loin of Pork – “This looks like it has come from a happy, healthy pig. We taste natural sweetness here – a great plus – along with an authentic porky flavour. This is also wonderfully moist, with a melting quality to the fat. the crackling, meanwhile is sinfully delicious. a top product.”
1 Star Packington Free Range Chicken Fillets – “Very, very large individual breasts. The meat is succulent with a good, tight meaty texture and well defined grain. Buttery, delicate poultry flavours.”
